Taraji P. Henson on December Cover of Jet Magazine

by on December 4, 2012

Taraji P. Henson is on this month’s Jet magazine cover which released on December 3rd.The October 29 issue featured Kerry Washington, though the order could have been logically switched considering this months anticipated release of Django Unchained.

That aside, Taraji P. Henson is doing just as well as Washington, or anyone for that matter, in the television world. Person of Interest, the hit show in which she co-stars, gets twice the viewership of Washington’s hit Scandal.

In her Jet magazine interview she talks about the nature working as a black woman in Hollywood and being snubbed by TVGuide, her tough parenting style, and her blue-collar upbringing.

In one quote in Jet Mag, Taraji said:

“You know Hollywood is all about age,” she offers. “That goes for all women, Chinese, White, but especially Black. I think a part of why I feel like I have to keep working is my fear that my phone will stop ringing.”

As you can see the magazine is priced at $1.99, but can be difficult to find in stores.

If you want to subscribe you can save and get 24 issues for $20 online at Jet Mag.

Very sad she’s no longer a part of the show, although she said she didn’t want a 7 year deal, 2 1/4 years is just not enough. One of the BEST actresses on t.v. and now she’s gone for good. So very sad.
