Genevieve Nnaji

It Appears Nollywood is drawing attention from prominent Hollywood actors as Genevieve Nnaji will be joined by accomplished co-stars Thandie Newton and Chiwetel Ejiofor in the film adaptation of

Half Of A Yellow Sun’, a film adaptation of  Chimamanda Adichie’s award winning novel. According to the source at leadership.ng

Nnaji will play the role of Ms Adebayo, another professor who develops a flirtatious

relationship with her colleague Mr Odenigbo (Ejiofor).

‘Half Of Yellow Sun’ is produced by BAFTA award-winning producer Andrea Calderwood (The Last King Of  Scotland) and will be directed by

debutant, Nigerian playwright Biyi Bandele.’

Considering the quality of the cast, book on which the film is based, and over-sight by an award winning

producer, this is a film not to miss. Is Nollywood on it’s way to gaining the fan base of Bollywood?
