black-actors-corbin-bleuWhile Corbin Bleu is still known best for his portrayal of sidekick character Chad Danforth in theĀ High School Musical franchise, he’s been working steadily in the industry since those days. HeĀ starred as Jesus in Godspell on Broadway Ā in 2012. Ā Bleu has also been guest starring in TV roles here and there, and has just been cast in the series One Life To Live.Ā The show was originally an ABC soap which ran for 43 years before ending in 2012. Its being revived exclusively online, and will be available on both Hulu and iTunes. The show’s officialĀ synopsisĀ on HuluĀ reads as follows:

One Life to Live follows the complicated lives of three main families: the wealthy Lords, the powerful Buchanans and the strong-willed Cramers. TheĀ quiet simplicity of small town living is often interrupted by the drama between them yet despite the struggles, strong family bonds keep them united.

Details on Corbin’s character were found on Access Hollywood:

Corbin will play Jeffrey King, described as a ā€œbrilliant young reporter,ā€ by TOLN, one who relocates to Llanview to work for Victoria Lordā€™s (Erica Slezak) newspaper, ā€œThe Banner.ā€

He will be a friend to Matthew Buchanan (now played by Robert Gorrie) and Danielle Manning (played by returning ā€œOLTLā€ cast member Kelley Missal).

One life to live will be available on Hulu and iTunes on April 29.
