Glee Actress Amber Riley Stars, Sings As Music Video Love Interest
Amber Riley played Mercedes, the token Black female with the powerhouse voice on the first 3 seasons of Fox’s Glee. She’s now an occasional guest star on the show since her character graduated from high school at the end of the show’s 3rd season. Amber Riley appears to be focusing primarily on her musical career now. Recently she played the featured girl in a new R&B music video for the song “Never Been Lonely” by Eric Bellinger.

Its particularly great to see Amber Riley playing the desirable woman, despite not having all of the traits of today’s standard “music video girl.” The lack of diversity in today’s rap and R&B music video women has recently become a hot topic, and Riley tackles it by simply not paying it any attention.
