Gina Torres To Play Wife To Real Life Husband In NBC’s Hannibal
In the upcoming NBC show Hannibal, Gina Torres and Laurence Fishbourne (who are married in real life) will play on screen husband and wife.
IndieWire reports that the show is focused on an FBI agent named Will Graham, portrayed by Hugh Dancy, and his mentor Dr. Hannibal Lecter, played by Mads Mikkelsen.
In the show Laurence Fishbourne plays FBI Agent Jack Crawford who is the leader of the agencies Behavioral Science Unit. Â Crawford is:
a tough cop who seems to have been born to hunt serial killers and lacking the type of empathy that informs the lives of both Will and Hannibal and knows he needs Will to be his bird-dog. His greatest mission is to stop sociopaths before they kill more — even if that means sacrificing Will’s psyche in the process.
Laurence Fishbourne is best known for playing Morpheus in the Matrix, but more recently appeared on CSI.
The show seems bold for NBC! Perhaps they are taking cues from Showtime, HBO, and AMC hit shows. Does the show sound like it will be a true thriller?
