Lee Thompson Young, age 29, was found dead inside his home Monday, August 19th at 8am. The actor gained Disney fame starring as the title character in the The Famous Jett Jackson from 1998 – 2001. Since then he’s appeared as minor characters in many hit series’ such as Scrubs, Smallville, and Friday Night Lights.
Most recently the actor has appeared as a recurring character in TNT’s Rizzoli & Isles. When the actor did not show up for work, staffers called his home to check on him. Finally the landlord opened the door and found Thompson dead.
TMZ reports That Young’s publicist has confirmed that the gunshot wound he suffered was self-inflicted.
