Photo + Video Broadway’s Romeo And Juliet Condola Rashad & Orlando Bloom
Tony nominated actress Condola Rashad and film star Orlando Bloom are the title characters in a Broadway production of Romeo And Juliet which debuts September 19th at The Richard Rodgers Theatre. Everyone knows Romeo and Juliet is Shakespeares tale of star crossed teen lovers (we’ll excuse the age factor in this case) who can’t be together due to their families feud. In this production the families are of different races, but that’s not the reason for the feud. In fact, in this version of the play, no reason for the feud is given. According to Broadway World:
While race defines the family lineages, the original cause of the ‘ancient quarrel’, passed down by successive generations to their young, has been lost to time. Shakespeare’s dramatization of the original poem sets the two young lovers in a context of prejudice, authoritarian parents, and a never ending cycle of ‘revenge.’ Against this background, the strength of their love changes the world.
Very exciting publicity, including beautiful images, and entertaining video clips, have been released for the production. There’s no doubt it will be a hit. Below are video clips and promotional images we’ve collected from all over the web!
Watch 3 clips below including an interview on Good Morning America, a press event where Condola Rashad and her co-star Orlando Bloom ride out on a motorbike and pose for cameras, and a steamy television commercial:

Above is one of the promotional posters for Shakespeare and Juliet. It’s very simple and show’s the pair on a bed. Does this indicate a steamy scene takes place in the production?
