UPTV Premiering ‘In The Meantime’ August 17th & 18th
UPTV is airing a new Black film titled In The Meantime on August 17th and 18th. The movie will air three times each night at 6/5c, 9/8c, and again at 10/9c pm. The film follows Jazmin Welles (Kali Hawk) who loses her job, and goes on a 6-month break from her fiance Blac (Musiq Soulchild). She moves in with her pregnant sister who helps Jazmin find work teaching an adult literacy program at a local community center. There she meets Kwame Davis (Darrin Dewit Henson), an attorney volunteering in order to advance his career. The two teachers become closer as they help students reach lofty goals such as learning to read The Bible and obtain USA citizenship. Six months fly by, and Jazmin’s time with Kwame is ending. Her reunion with with her fiance is approaching. Jazmin must make some important choices.
The film is directed by NAACP nominated Roger M. Bob known for his work on “Raising Izzie” and “For Colored Girls.”
