Full List 2013 44th Annual NAACP Image Award Winners
The 44th NAACP Image Awards wrapped up on February 1st. The gist of things is that Red Tails finally got some attention, Kerry Washington got recognition for her work on the silver screen, the big screen, and off-screen. She received the President’s Award, which is not included on the list below.
Powerful films unrecognized by other media got recognition through nominations if not in the form of a win. For example, I thought Viola Davis did a fantastic job in Won’t Back Down even though the filmed set a record for an all time box office low. She received a best actress nomination.
The big wins in film were Kerry Washington for Django Unchained, Denzel Washington for flight, Red Tails for best Motion Picture, and Beasts Of The Southern Wild for Independent Motion picture. Scroll through the list below to see the other winners.
