Are You Ready For Baggage Claim?

Baggage Claim is one of 2013’s most anticipated films that features an all Black cast. It will go toe-to-toe with The Best Man Holiday for the highest grossing, most beloved Black comedy film of 2013. Last year, films with all Black casts made a comeback when Think Like A Man exceeded box office expectations week after week. Red Tails flopped, but Black viewers were just happy to see themselves reflected on screen. This year in Black entertainment we had Temptation: Confessions Of  A Marriage Counselor,  which turned out to be a Trojan horse with its unexpected and unwelcome turn of events. Fruitvale Station certainly had its impact, as will 12 Years As A Slave, no doubt about it. Peeples (starring Kerry Washington) had a so-so response. But Baggage Claim fills the need for a light comedy containing a sexy, fun ensemble Black cast and a relateable story. The film’s official story line from Fox Searchlight is below:

Determined to get engaged before her youngest sister’s wedding, flight attendant Montana Moore finds herself with only 30 days to find Mr. Right. Using her airline connections to “accidentally” meet up with eligible ex-boyfriends and scour for potential candidates, she racks up more than 30,000 miles and countless comedic encounters, all the while searching for the perfect guy

The trailer and an interview that gives a taste of just how fun the cast are embedded below. First, here’s a list of the film’s main stars:
