Full List of Golden Globe Nominations: Lincoln & Django Lead

The 2013 Golden Globe Nominations have been announced. Lincoln leads film nominations with nods in 6 categories (reports say 7, but we at Blallywood only see 6).  Django Unchained follows closely behind with nominations in 5 categories.

Sadly none of the award nominations for Django Unchained were for Kerry Washington or Jamie Foxx.

Django Unchained was nominated the following categories:

  • Best Drama
  • Best Screenplay
  • Best Actor in a Supporting Role – Leonardo DiCaprio
  • Best Director – Quentin Tarantino
  • Best Actor in a Supporting Role Leonardo DiCaprio, Cristopher Waltz

Lincoln was nominated in the following categories:

  • Best Screenplay
  • Best Drama
  • Best Director – Steven Spielberg
  • Best Actress in a Supporting Role – Sally Field
  • Best Actor in a Drama –Daniel Day-Lewis
  • Best Actor in a Supporting Role – Tommy Lee Jones

Notable black actors nominated for Golden Globes this year include:

Snubs This Year:

  • Neither Beasts of the Southern Wild or its charming young actress Quvenzhané Wallis made the list.
  • Denzel Washington’s film  Flight only earned one nod.
  • Kerry Washington and Jamie Foxx both came up empty for Django Unchained despite co-stars receiving nominations.
