Djimon Hounsou Will Play Chief Mbonga In Tarzan 2016, Samuel L. Jackson Is In Too

THE TEMPESTDjimon Hounsou has been cast in an upcoming live action adaptation of the film Tarzan. Though nothing we’ve seen really beats Disney’s animated version of the tale, except maybe Disney’s Broadway adaptation, this adaptation may bring some competition to a story that is in need of a re-vamp.  The film is going to be directed by David Yates, who also directed the final four Harry Potter films. So far the named cast members include Margot Robbie (The Wolf Of Wall Street) as Jane, Alexander SkarsgÃ¥rd as Tarzan, Christopher Waltz as captain Rom, and Samuel L. Jackson in an unnamed role. With today’s special effects, and the film’s planned release date of July 16, 2016, it looks like its setting out to be a solid summer blockbuster. Stay tuned to Blallywood for future updates.
