Preview: Christina Sees Burke, Loses Cool & Why You Should Tune Into Grey’s Early
Actress Sandra Oh is leaving Grey’s Anatomy in just two weeks. As a farewell, show creator Shonda Rhimes is focusing on saying goodbye to the beloved character in the final episodes. Part of this special farewell includes bringing back Yang’s former love interest, Dr. Preston Burke. Burke, played by Isaiah Washington, left the show in the third season. Yang has had other love interests, and even a marriage, since Burke was on the show. But nothing quite matched the romance she had with Preston Burke. Burke was one of the only characters who understood Christina’s drive and could guide her forward. Undeniably, the interracial matching of a Black male and Asian female is never seen on prime time television, and its hard to forget.
