mr-robinson-tv-show-black-actors-www.blallywood.comCraig Robinson is getting another chance to star in a sitcom for the NBC television network. Last year we reported that Robinson would star in a show that was going to be produced by Greg Daniels (The Office). We also reported the show would feature Amandla Stenberg and Larenz Tate in the supporting cast. Those names have been removed from the project. According to TV Guide, Robb Cullen will be the new executive producer. Currently there is no word on who will be in the supporting cast. The show’s synopsis is still the same. In the show’s original description, Robinson was to play:

a talented musician with rough edges who adjusts to his new life as a music teacher in a big-city middle school, where he encounters teacher politics and the temptations of single moms.

Do you think NBC was on the right path in not picking up the show, or does it still sound like it could be a promising comedy?
