Michael B. Jordan and Chiwetel Ejiofor Have Finally Been Cast In Same Film – “Triple Nine”

by on February 7, 2014

Two Black actors who are exceptionally hot this awards season have been cast in the same upcoming production. Both Michael B. Jordan and Chiwetel Ejiofor are slated to appear in Director John Hillcoat’s upcoming film, Triple Nine. The duo will feature along side Kate Winslet, Aaron Paul, Casey Affleck, Teresa Palmer, Gal Gadot, and Michael Peña, reports Cinema Blend.

The film is about a group of police officers who must break the law and pull off a heist or face the punishment of the Russian mafia. In order to pull off the crime, they draw up a diversion that involves killing a rookie cop. While the rest of the police force is distracted by the death, they pull off the heist across town.

The film will hit theaters sometime in 2015, so there’s a long wait. Hopefully that allows the actors, particularly Ejiofor and Jordan, the opportunity to work on plenty of other projects in the meantime. How excited are you about seeing the duo in theaters without having to buy two separate movie tickets?
