black-actors-danncy-gloverVeteran actor Danny Glover will guest star in Blair Underwood’s new NBC TV series Ironside. He’ll play Underwood’s father, Frank according to Broadway World. Though he’s no longer starring in big Blockbuster franchises like Lethal Weapon, Danny Glover’s career has been very active. With 14 acting credits to his name in 2013 alone on IMDB his success is actually a marvel. Recently he appeared on television as a regular in the series “Touch” in 2012.  The Ironside casting news doesn’t indicate that Glover will make more than one appearance, but the fact that he plays the title characters father makes us think its possible he’ll return now and then.

For those who aren’t sure what Ironside is, its a remake of an old show that revolves around a detective who doesn’t let his wheelchair slow him down. Blair Underwood plays the title character, Robert Ironside. The full first episode is available online here: Watch The First Episode Of Ironside Online
