Regina King Joins Cast of ABC Pilot Divorce: A Love Story
Regina King has joined the cast of an all new ABC TV series titled Divorce: A Love Story. The show is about “a recently divorced couple that can’t seem to stay out of each other’s lives”. King plays a supporting cast member, while the two leads are played by Jason Jones and Andrea Anders. King’s character Cassandra, is a dental hygienist, and best friend of the male lead, Kenny (Jones). She is described as a self centered and volatile woman, so expect to see King unleash her comedic talents in this role.
Regina King will still be working on Southland while moonlighting on this show according to The Inquisitir.  However, the show’s current season ends on April 17th, and has been pulling in small numbers for some time. With other Southland cast members picking up new roles too, the future looks hazy for the show. It’s a good thing King is lining up other options.
