James Tucker Takes Over As Supervising Producer At DC Animation

by on April 1, 2013

james-tucker-dc-comicsJames Tucker has replaced Bruce Timm as the DC animation supervising producer. Tucker will be heading the development of animated shows and movie adaptations based in the DC comic universe.  DC comics has put out highly regarded animated series including the classic Batman: The Animated Series (1992), and the somewhat more recent Justice League, and Teen Titans.

Tucker’s upcoming projects will include producing the animated films Year One, The Dark Knight Returns and Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox according to Flickering Myth.

The animated series Justice League, which first aired in 2001, featured a Black Green Lantern. Is it a stretch to speculate that James Tucker’s new position could lead to more diversity in DC Comics’ animated productions?
