TV1_Undersheperd_Key Art 4The television network TVOne has been busy producing new shows and movies targeted at Black audiences. An upcoming TV movie titled The Undershepherd will debut this Saturday, March 30 at 8/7c pm. The film “tells the controversial tale of two ministers, who, although originally best friends and brothers  in Christ, find their relationship tested by access to power, money and greed (TVOne).”

It features an incredibly talented all-star ensemble cast. Isaiah Washington (Grey’s Anatomy) plays Lawrence “LC” Case, an overly ambitious, ego- centric pastor who will lead the congregation astray. Lamman Rucker (Meet The Browns, Why Did I Get Married) plays the less successful pastor, and best friend of LC. The film also stars:

  • Malinda Williams (Soul Food)
  • Elise Neal (Belles, The Hughleys)
  • Vanessa Bell Calloway (Shameless)
  • Clifton Powell (Ray)
  • Bill Cobb (Go On)
  • Robinne Lee (Hitch)
  • Keith David (Belles)
  • Louis Gossett, Jr. (Roots)

The Undershepherd is directed, written, and produced by radio personality Russ Parr.

Watch two clips from the Undersheperd below.

In the first clip, Pastor “LC” gets carried away at the altar, and the congregation follows right along.

In the next clip we see that Pastor LC’s wife is sick and week. He responds in an unusual way.
