Omar Epps To Star In Supernatural ABC TV Show – The Returned
Omar Epps (House) has been cast in the lead role in an upcoming ABC television series titled The Returned. The show is based on a novel by Black author Jason Mott, and Aaron Zelman (writer and producer for Criminal Minds) is writing the first episode.  In The Returned, a series of supernatural phenomena are occurring across the globe. Specifically, dead people who have been buried are suddenly reappearing alive as if not a single day has passed.
Omar Epps’ character is named Martin Bellamy. Bellamy a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent who works on cases involving child trafficking. When Bellamy learns of a young boy who appeared out of nowhere in the middle of rural China, he gets drawn into the mystery. Hollywood Reporter posted the story.
It’s nice to see that Black men are joining the ladies to lead new series’ on major television networks. Do you think the show sounds like a potential home run?
