Episode 2 prominently features the recent major success that both La La and Carmelo Anthony have been experiencing in their careers. Picking up in London, it’s easy to sense the excitement and energy of the city as the USA Men’s Basketball team prepares for the Olympic gold medal game. Her husband’s success on the basketball court is made even sweeter when we find out that La La’s brand, Motives for La La* is poised to make a leap across the pond to the UK.

Within the opening minutes of the episode, La La receives a phone call from good friend and business partner Loren Ridinger, who delivers the news that Motives for La La, a cosmetics line designed for women of color, is ready to be launched in London!

With her brand expanding globally, La La finds herself in the midst of a media storm with US Weekly committing to cover the Motives Cosmentics launch party and the Today Show booking her for an appearance on their London Olympics set. Her rise from fashion & beauty icon in the United States to globally recognized style icon sends La La on a search to connect with other celebrities who’ve gone global with their brands.

Between her talks with American hip hop stars Ludacris and Trina, La La comes to realize that it’s her connection to her fans and admirers that makes her success possible. The proof of this is obvious at the successful Motives for La La launch party, where fans, make-up artists, and others turn out to view the beautiful product showcase, try out the products, and of course enjoy La La’s company.
