VH1 is producing a film based on the story of the female R&B Trio, TLC. The group was popular in the 1990s and early 2000s, and was one of the highest-selling female groups of all time. They’ve now cast the perfect T-Boz, Chilli, and Left Eye for the upcoming biopic. The real Chilli and T-Boz, have signed on as consultants and executive producers for the movie. Left-Eye (Lisa Lopez) died in 2002 at age 30 after the car she was driving crashed. A documentary titled The Last Days of Left Eye was made which documents the last month of her life on film, including the car accident in which she died.

According to HipHopDX:

  • Lil Mama will play Left Eye Lopes
  • Drew Sidora will play Tionne T-Boz Watkins
  • Keke Palmer will play Chilli

Filming will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, and will begin in March. The film is the first in a series of scripted music based TV movies to be produced by VH1.
