Sheryl Lee Ralph & Tia Mowry Play Mother-Daugher In Sitcom
You may remember Sheryl Lee Ralph for her role as mother to Brandy in the show Moesha. She has successful booked another mothering role and will be appearing in the upcoming Nick at Nite sitcom Instant Mom. Moreover she’ll be playing mother to the main character, played by Tia Mowry. Duane Martin has been confirmed to play Tia Mowry’s Husband.
Philly.com says the show is about “a 25-year-old party girl who gains an immediate family after she marries a man with kids.”
The plot hasn’t change since we first reported on the story back in July.
Most viewers know Tia Mowry is not a 25-year-old. She is, in fact, 34. So why is she playing a 25-year-old on TV? Is it the Hollywood fixation on youth, a shortage of black actresses in this age range, or am making an issue out of nothing?
