Person of Interest Recap 2×01

If you love Taraji P. Henson as much as I do then you will love her even more as Detective Carter on the hit CBS show, Person of Interest. Already in its second season, this show if full of action packed sequences and scientific mystery that will leave you in awe. Based in New York City, Person of Interest tells the story of how a computer genius built a computer system that was created to stop terrorist. However, there was a glitch in the system which caused the “Machine” to spy/protect everyone in the New York City area.

The Machine is always watching you. The show stars Jim Caviezel who plays John Reese, a former CIA hitman, who teams up with Harold Finch, played by Michael Emerson, recruited to prevent violent crimes from happening in New York City. Taraji P. Henson plays Detective Joss Carter and finds herself tangled up in illegal police behavior by helping Mr. Reese take down the criminals.

Season 2 begins with a bang as Reese is left in charge of saving innocent people from becoming victims of violent crimes. There are also flashbacks of Finch testing out the “Machine” when he first built it. I don’t think he knew what he was in for. The technical part of figuring out who to save is usually Finch’s job, but he has been abducted by a murderer on the run who wants to take over his system. Before Reese can find Finch, he has to save an investor who owes members of a modern day Ku Klux Klan, $8 Million.

I can’t explain it but there is definitely some hot sexual tension between Carter and Reese because they are always at each other’s rescue. In the middle of an action packed fight, Reese, who usually wins the fights, was being attacked and it was Detective Carter to the rescue. Kevin Chapman who plays Detective Lionel Fusco is also working for Finch and Reese.

He makes the discovery during season 1 that Detective Carter is also working for them both. In season 2, Carter and Fusco have since confronted each other about working for them both and seems to be working together to keep this secret. Reese finds a lead on the murderer who has kidnapped Finch and enlists Carter to pack her bags and tag along. They are headed to Texas.

This show is guaranteed to keep you glued to the TV. Taraji and Jim make a great team and may even make a better couple, but all in due time. If you have not seen the show, please check it out, airing Thursdays at 9/8 central on CBS. Let me know what you think.
