Morris Chestnut To Be In Showtime’s Nurse Jackie

by on October 22, 2012

Morris Chestnut is joining the Showtime series Nurse Jackie.  A Deadline article found via Yahoo says that he will be a recurring guest for at least one season.

Chestnut will play a trauma doctor named Ike Prentiss who provided medical care to armed forces in the Middle East, but needs to brush up on his bedside manner.

Recently Chestnut has been on American Horror story, Think Like a Man, and the less successful ABC series V.  He’s perhaps most beloved for roles in classic black films including The Best Man and Boyz n The Hood.

Chestnut is great as a supporting actor, but don’t you think it’s time we see him in a starring role?
