Congratulations to Mindy Kaling who left The Office to create and star in her own show. The Mindy Show is the first sitcom to star an Indian-American. She’s also labeled CREATOR/WRITER/EXECUTIVE PRODUCER on the Fox website. Wow!
Kalin made the New York Times best seller list with her book Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? released in November 2011.
Her show debut to 4.7 million viewers which compares favorably along debuts of other comedies on the Fox network.

- Ben and Kate had 4.2 million viewers
- New Girl had 5.3 million viewers
- The New Normal had 5.2 million viewers.
