Men In Black 4 In The Works

by on July 22, 2012

It’s clear that Will Smith is still an International Superstar.¬†Currently Men In Black 3 has made just over $650 Million at the box office, and Columbia Pictures has already given the green light for a 4th film. The studio is moving quickly!

Indiewire shared a quote given by the president of Columbia Pictures to the Hollywood Reporter in which he said

“We’re very pleased with the financial performance of¬†Men in Black 3, and we believe it is an ongoing franchise. We’re going to do (another one), but we don’t have clarity yet on how it should be done.”

It’s hard to imagine that this quote hints at the possibility of Will Smith not returingn to the franchise. A big reason for the box office numbers is the appeal of Will Smith to moviegoers worldwide. Without Will Smith, the studio could sell tickets for a 4th movie, but with him on board the franchise will be even more successful.
