Amber Riley Moving From Glee To New York Stage

Glee star Amber Riley graduated at the end of season 3 and is making a jump from the small screen to the stage. She is performing in a Broadway-style show, Cotton Club Parade, based on big band legend Duke Ellington’s time spent at the Harlem Nightclub nearly a century ago. The show, with music direction by Wynton will the music direction will be by .
According to Broadway.com , song selection will include

  • Digga Digga Doo
  • Stormy Weather
  • I’ve Got the World on a String
  • Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea
  • Rockin’ in Rhythm
  • Cotton Club Stomp
  • Creole Love Call

Though this act is a change from the small screen, Riley is no stranger to the stage. She’s featured in everything Shakespeare adaptions to performances with the Los Angelas Opera. Is this any surprise?
